When watching Charisma Carpenter in Legend of the Seeker, did anyone else get the feeling that she was not playing the role of "Triana" but playing the role of Cordelia Chase playing the role of Triana?

YES!

When she first showed up on screen I was all 'it's Cordelia!', but a good actress (or maybe she was having an off day) can make me forget her previous characters, however iconic and loved they might have been. She's looking pretty good though, the latter days of Angel were not her friend.

She's definitely looking good. The performance was "off," though, and it seemed oddly deliberate, like a good actress playing the role of being a bad actress.
